Panagiotis Voulgaris is a visual artist, curator and co – director in FokiaNou Art Space in Athens. He has received a Master with Distinction in Art and Architecture from the School of Architecture and Visual Arts in the University of East London and a BA in Fine Arts from Middlesex University. He has attended a spring semester workshop by the CITU research center of Paragraph Labaratory of University Paris 8. He also studied at the School of Sculpture in Tinos, Greece.
His artwork is articulated through installations and interventions in archaeological sites, old buildings, in public space and the landscape. He has participated in exhibitions, residencies and projects in Greece, Italy, Malta, France, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Brazil, Sweden and the U.S. among others. In 2019 he received the STEP Travel Grant from the European Cultural Foundation and the Compania di San Paolo. He has been awarded a resident artist of Valletta 2018, the European Capital of Culture.
